What is Pressure Die Casting?

Up to now, pressure die casting is regarded as one of the most economical and quickest forming processes in the manufacturing industry. For better learning, it can be seen that it is a metal forming process in which molten metal is forced into a cavity or mold under high pressure. Due to its unique characters, increasingly customers prefer to take this technique as the first choice to machine, especially for the metal products. Generally speaking, in die casting, there are two different ways of manufacturing components: hot chamber and cold chamber die casting.

Process of Pressure Die Casting

The basic die casting process consists of injecting molten metal under high pressure into a steel mold, which is called a die. The process cycle for die casting consists of five main stages, which are explained as below.

a. Drawing analysis review of your CAD files.
b. Tooling design and make a preparatory work
c. Die-casted part making and casting

    • Clamping
    • Injection
    • Cooling
    • Ejection
    • Trimming

d. Doing T1 test for inspection
e. Samples production and confirmation
